Today I want to share with you an amazing transformation we created with a customer. Remember Foley’s, ya’ll? (it was my mom’s favorite shop of all time).

Our customer got this double buffet from there (decades ago) and immediately we saw its makeover potential:

Maybe you can’t see it yet, but as you practice your transformations, your eye will become more and more attuned to seeing the potential that nobody else can see!

The color palette was inspired by this chic classic french black and white color combination:

To start, we painted the entire piece with our Noir Black Transform paint – with no sanding, stripping or priming required!

Then, we let that dry for 20 minutes.

Next, is the part that might look hard (but is actually very easy, I assure you!):

We took Chantilly White Transform Paint and watered it down to 50% water and 50% paint. Then, we applied the diluted white paint using a really fast back and forth movement and a very loose brush stroke.

Once we got the coverage we wanted, we let it dry for 20 minutes.

After the paint dried, we locked in the color by applying the clear sealer for about 10 minutes. And we let it dry for 20 minutes.

Finally, we enhanced all of the lovely details by applying our Enhance Gray Antiquing Glaze. And for a little dose of drama, we painted the entire back of the buffet black. Then we handpicked a collection of stunning mid – century art and accessories to create a beautiful striking design touch.
