There’s nothing like hosting an event at your home.

People automatically feel comfortable, and they get to know you, your family and all of your amazing gifts.

So let’s get you ready to commit to hosting that graduation party, baby shower, bridal shower or any celebration in life.

Tip 1: Design leisurely and beautiful eating stations

Make snacking easy for your guests. I love setting a leisurely mood where guests can snack and eat at their own pace.

Some guests want to eat as soon as they arrive while others love to unwind for a bit.

Use vintage platters and breadboards to set out a variety of delicious food.

A frequently asked question: Do they need to match? NO. Stick to 2-3 similar styles and mix and match to your heart’s content!

Tip 2: Use Tossware to make your next gathering easy

A few years back I discovered this little hack at a wedding. I couldn’t believe how simple and delightful these were.

I started using these “wine glasses” at my parties and it was a game changer! Guests never have to worry about breaking them.

Whenever I host an event, big or small, I make sure to keep a stock of these wine glasses called Tossware.

And then when I saw my friends buying them for their parties, I knew this was something I had to share with you!

I know what you’re thinking, I’d rather have glass.

For more formal occasions, especially a seated dinner I agree.

However, if it’s a casual afternoon or evening where guests are going to be moving around my house a lot, these are a must have!

Tip 3: Get casual cocktail and dinner napkins that look like fabric

Speaking of casual, these cocktail and dinner napkins are a must have item. I used these at our Christmas party for the first time, and these were a hit.

Tip 4: Make your runner

The other day a neighborhood mom called me to see if by any chance I had a table runner to dress up a mom’s event.

Guess what, I actually did!

Rohan and Dayven (my boys) and I created this beautiful runner last year. It was so joyful to make it together and use it for the first time!

Since then, we’ve used it for a number of events over and over again.

The best part, the memories we made making it together.

Tip 5 – Set the mood with music

Last but not least – create a music playlist.

It’s a must, must do for any party.

Do it the week before so you have time to enjoy selecting the songs you want to play. Or choose a channel from any of the streaming services.

Music is one of the best ways to set the mood and create a warm, welcoming ambiance in your home.

So don’t skip this step!
