Big, empty walls got you frustrated?

I faced the exact same problem in my home. Yes, even in an older home, you can face this problem, like mine built in 1951.

I have a secret solution I use to solve this dilemma. But in the beginning my hubby, Bobby, was not 100% on board.

It all started a few years back, a decade ago…

We were in this very exquisite furniture boutique while traveling. I spotted THE piece I knew would solve my big wall problem for a particular wall in our home.

Not only would it solve my big wall problem, this piece was stunning and spoke to my heart. I knew this piece would add patina, warmth, style, history, beauty and comfort.

Hubby took one look at the price tag and immediately said NO WAY!

We went back and forth, our voices getting louder (and louder) on each go round, all the while in this exquisite store.

Finally, reluctantly he agreed. He was not thrilled, honestly was very irked.

We got it shipped home, and I had it installed. It fit like a glove.

Funny thing about this story, when people come over to our home, he loves to show them the beautiful piece “he found” to solve our big empty wall problem. Ha! I let him have all the credit, and am glad he saw all those beautiful qualities I saw.
