What is one of your must-do activities when you travel?

Whenever the hubby and I travel here in the US or abroad, we make it a MUST to check out the local gardens.

One year while I was pregnant with our first child, we decided to visit these famous gardens right outside of Rome. We were in total awe with all of the wonder and beauty surrounding us.

In fact, we were in such a daze that we forgot how to get back to the city! Imagine our distress when we didn’t know how to get home and we didn’t speak any Italian. (And not to mention I was pregnant with our first child)

Despite the stress of that experience, the only thing I remember is how stunning the gardens were!

And to this day, there remains one go-to plant that I turn to for every home project. When I’m working on a space, I love to transform an old piece of furniture with my Amitha Verma paint and add this magical plant into the space.

The best part? You don’t have to water them! They are already preserved so they look stunning year-round with barely any maintenance. 🙂
